Mentoring programme for PhD candidates and postdocs
We would like to invite you to the mentoring programme for early career researchers (PhD students and postdocs), which is coordinated by the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
The aim of the programme is to support the professional development of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, help them launch their scientific career, and clarify its direction. Beside the cooperation between a mentee and a mentor, the programme contains also courses and workshops dedicated to the professional and personal development (e.g. project management, communication skills, and identification of your strengths or burnout prevention). Participation is free of charge. The programme is open for Czech and foreign researchers from all fields and all Czech institutions. Cross-institutional networking is a key part of the programme. The registration is open until 8th March.
The new round will start with introductory workshops which will help mentees to create their mentoring plan for 2019. The introductory workshop for the group of mentees from social sciences and liberal arts will be held on Saturday 16th March, the workshop for mentees from natural and technical sciences will be held on Sunday, 17th March. The programme will run until the end of 2019.
For more information please find the leaflet and manual attached. The benefits of the programme are illustrated by poster exhibitions from the previous years here or in the book of interviews with our mentees (also in English).
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly by email or by phone.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
