Position opening at FFA BUT: Assistant Prof. at the Department of Art History and Theory; app. deadline 5 May 2024
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) is offering an academic position on a part-time basis (0.6–1.0 FTE: depending on agreement regarding teaching load and further involvement in department activities) for an Assistant Professor at the Department of Art History and Theory, starting on September 1, 2024.
Job Description
- Teaching courses in aesthetics and academic writing in bachelor's and master's study programs accredited at FFA BUT.
- Providing feedback to students, including supervision and opposition of bachelor’s and master’s theses.
- Participating in doctoral thesis consultations.
- Involvement in departmental activities such as overseeing state examinations and managing thesis documentation, among others.
- Participation in research activities of the faculty.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in the field of art or a related field of humanities.
- Fluent in spoken English and Czech (the teaching language is Czech).
- Publication and/or curatorial activity.
- Teaching skills.
- Moral integrity.
