Mikuláš Macháček is a finalist of Czech Grand Design 2024 in the Graphic Designer category
The Czech Design Academy (Akademie designu ČR) has selected the finalists of the 19th edition of the Czech Grand Design awards. In the Graphic Designer of the Year 2024 category, one of the finalists is the Head of the Cabinet of Design at FFA BUT, Mikuláš Macháček, for his new visual identity for the Museum of Prague . The design, created by Mikuláš Macháček, Anna Macháčková, and Šárka Zíková from the studio zetzetzet, embraces a playful approach, draws on an original colour palette, and revives the griffin symbol historically associated with the museum.The works and projects of the finalists can be viewed at the SHOTBY.US: Space of Desire exhibition, which is on display from 7 February to 10 March 2025 at Kunsthalle Prague. The ceremonial announcement of the winners in all categories will take place at the Estates Theatre in Prague on Monday, 3 March 2025 from 8 pm.
