The Artistic Board of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA Artistic Board) is an autonomous academic body of the faculty with the highest professional and pedagogical qualifications. It fulfills a conceptual, initiative, and evaluative role. Its scope is defined by the Higher Education Act. The FFA Artistic Board, for example, discusses the proposal for the strategic intentions of the faculty's educational and creative activities, approves proposals for study programmes, exercises its responsibilities in habilitation procedures and in procedures for appointing professors, and also provides opinions on matters presented by the Dean. The members of the FFA Artistic Board are appointed by the Dean and are distinguished representatives in the fields in which the faculty conducts its educational and creative activities.
