Areas of responsibility: manages the faculty computer network; provides basic network services; ensures a consistent user environment for all currently used computer platforms (central login system); manages the faculty section of the university wireless computer network; manages and maintains faculty email and faculty websites; ensures support and methodological guidance for users in the university information system (BUT IS) and problem-solving with BUT IS (in collaboration with the BUT Center of Information Services); ensures integration of faculty academic affairs and administration of study programmes in BUT IS (in collaboration with the faculty's Student Affairs Office); manages IT equipment and provides support to lecturers in classrooms and study rooms; ensures management and maintenance of end devices (PCs, OS installations, SW, printers, phones) in the dean's office workplaces; provides technical and procedural support for purchasing IT equipment, SW, or services for the dean's office and other faculty workplaces; manages, develops, and maintains the faculty's access and camera system; creates an IT infrastructure recovery plan (as part of the activities of the FFA IT System Board, chaired by the head of the FFA Office of Information Technology). Ensures the activities of the faculty's system integrator.
