Brno AiR, Open Call for Artist Residency for FFA Graduates (autumn 2025), deadline 8 June 2025
Brno House of Arts (hereafter DumB), in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts BUT (hereafter FFA BUT), is announcing an open call for a residential stay at the Brno Artists in Residence Centre (hereafter Brno AiR) in the House of the Lords of Kunštát (Dominikánská 9, Brno, Czech Republic).
The Open Call is open to all graduates of master's and/or doctoral studies at FFA BUT. Residency period and duration: 15 September – 15 November 2025 (two months).
Brno Artists in Residence offers:
- monthly stipend of 20,000 CZK (gross), i.e., 40,000 CZK in total;
- studio in the residential area of the House of the Lords of Kunštát;
- accommodation in the House of the Lords of Kunštát;
- theoretical support;
- an exhibition at the G99 gallery produced by Brno AiR in 2026;
- access to the technical facilities of DumB and FFA BUT.
Residency conditions:
- active participation in the programme organised by Brno Artists in Residence;
- submission of a final report.

- the application period is from 10 April to 8 June 2025 (inclusive);

- note: the application must include a portfolio and a motivation letter explaining your interest in the residency and outlining your artistic goals (with respect to the final exhibition). The size of the attachment (PDF portfolio) must not exceed 15 MB (larger files, such as videos, animations, etc., must be available online with links included in the portfolio). Selection and announcement of results:
- the resident will be selected based on submitted applications by a jury composed of representatives from FFA BUT and Brno AiR;
- results will be published on the websites of FFA BUT and DumB by the end of June 2025;
- the selected resident will be notified by email;
