Open Call for the FFA Gallery (Galerie FaVU) for 2025, app. deadline 15 Sep 2024
The Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA) announces a call for artists and curators to submit exhibition projects for the FFA Gallery (Galerie FaVU) for the year 2025. This call is open to individuals, groups, or collectives from both the Czech Republic and abroad. We welcome visual, audiovisual, and sound projects that respond to current social issues. Please note that this call does not apply to ongoing diploma and bachelor theses or studio presentations without further conceptual specification. There are no thematic restrictions for the conception of exhibition projects. The primary selection criterion is the quality of the exhibition project in its contemporary context. For the 2025 exhibition season, we plan to support six projects. The submitted projects will be evaluated by the FFA Gallery Advisory Board.

The gallery provides:
- exhibition space (114 m²)
- exhibition surveillance (camera system)
- financial support for the costs of the exhibition in the amount of 20 000 CZK (including fees)
- production, technical support and PR of the exhibition
- completed online application form
- a brief description of the project, including visual documentation
- portfolio of the artist/curator incl. CV
Change of space:
Exhibition projects selected for implementation in the second half of the year will take place in different spaces due to the renovation of the campus. The selected artists will be familiarised with the new space by the end of 2024.
FFA Gallery (Galerie FaVU) is a vibrant communication space for an emerging generation of artists and curators. It is an experimental laboratory for open dialogue with the academic environment and the public. It offers a background for professional presentation to young artists not only from the ranks of students and PhD students, but also graduates of art schools. The basic mission of the FaVU Gallery is to present remarkable results in the field of visual, audiovisual and sound creation. Information about the gallery's exhibition programme can be found here.
