Workshop with Studio ThinkingHand for FFA students, 25–26 April 2024
Workshop with Studio ThinkingHand, 25–26 April 2024, 10 am – 2 pm, FFA BUT (room TBC)
Studio ThinkingHand is an art duo formed by Rhoda Ting (b. 1985, AUS) and Mikkel Dahlin Bojesen (b. 1988, DK) currently based in Kalvehave, Denmark. Their works researches listening, relating and co-creating with other than human species, making visible stories, intelligences, and life beyond the human gaze. Drawing on contemporary posthumanist and eco-philosophical disciplines, they seek to revise ways in which humans participate in the web of planetary interconnectedness. They imagine a queer future of co-evolution and adaptability, challenging binary categorizations between Nature and Culture, the organic and the synthetic and the pure and feral. Their workshop will examine posthumanism and queer ecology as methods of relating to the surrounding world through practical exercises of co-creation with nature. The workshop will be held in English and is open to students at all levels of study.
To book your place in the workshop please contact Lenka Veselá vesela@favu.vut.cz by 20 April 2024.
The workshop will take place with the financial participation of the European Union's National Recovery Plan and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
