The Master's thesis “It Is Needed” investigates the collaboration between professions that significantly influence the form of contemporary gallery projects, focusing particularly on the role of the graphic designer in relation to curators and artists. Through interviews with prominent figures in the Czech gallery scene, the book delves into questions of professional methodology, criteria for cooperation, inspiration, intuition, concept, and form. Owing to its subjective character, the project does not position the book among conventional theoretical works. Rather, the publication aims to present instances of successful interdisciplinary collaboration and to highlight the opportunities that graphic design offers in shaping curatorial ambitions.
