It engages with contemporary professional discourse on socialist modernity while also building upon the extensively researched era of interwar functionalism. Each case study examines a specific topic (such as projection practices, experimental construction, the development of civic amenities and infrastructure, socialist propaganda, or the integration of visual arts in public spaces and architecture) within the broader context of the entire socialist period, with extensions into the period of transformation.
