SEDIMENTY DIAGNÓZY WELLNESS [SEDIMENTS DIAGNOSIS WELLNESS]
The book chronicles a peculiar journey into the depths of Belarusian salt mines, transformed into a lavish sanatorium. Prepper Oktobrin ventures into Soligorsk, Belarus, where the former potash salt mines have been repurposed into a luxurious facility for treating lung ailments. His mission: to explore the viability of underground habitation amidst anticipated global transformations. Viewing the reclaimed mine as an optimal refuge against potential societal collapse, Oktobrin, despite his own robust health, immerses himself in a therapeutic sojourn below the earth's surface. Here, he aims to seize command of his destiny, unearth his latent capabilities, and cultivate self-sufficiency irrespective of external circumstances. However, as time passes, Oktobrin becomes acutely aware not only of the immense weight of rock above him but also of the obstacles imposed by the sanatorium staff, the authority of physicians, and the pervasive sense of isolation and privation. His anticipation of societal collapse and the ensuing crisis intertwines with diverse strategies for weathering the storm. Many individuals today adopt similar measures in anticipation of looming climate catastrophes and other existential threats facing our civilization – threats which, paradoxically, we all confront and contribute to. Originally presented as a stage production of the same title by HaDivadlo in Brno, the premiere took place on June 5, 2020.
