The book Where Them Stray Dogs At presents the work of a collective of authors who take Belgrade as a conceptual starting point, exploring the broader meanings and identities attributed to the so-called Balkans as a region. Through various approaches, they create a series of fragmentary yet inevitably interconnected commentaries on themes such as authenticity, migration, urban transformation, and Balkanism. The book’s subtitle hints at the transitory nature of unanchored, almost stray perspectives of authorship.
