The book published by the Faculty of Fine Arts is nominated in the Most Beautiful Czech Books 2023 competition
The art committee of the professional jury for the competition "The Most Beautiful Czech Book of the Year", organized by the Museum of Literature in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, has announced the nominations for this year's NKČR 2023 awards.
In the category Academic Literature, the publication FaVU 30 (published by FFA BUT) was among the nominations. The publication, marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts BUT, offers a reflection on the impact of this educational institution through the interpreted voice of its alumni. The graphic design of the book was also done by FFA alumni, Kristýna Krejčová and Kristýna Žáčková.
In the category Books on Fine Art, one of the nominated publications is Rafani, the first comprehensive monograph mapping 20 years of the Rafani group's presence on the Czech art scene. FFA employees Luděk Rathouský (a member of Rafani) and Jozef Ondrík, who is the author of the book's graphic design, contributed to this publication.
Complete nominations can be found here. The ceremonial announcement of the winners will take place on June 12, 2024, at the UMPRUM building in Mikulandská Street.
