Barbora Lungová is one of the laureates of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award 2025
Congratulations to the laureates of this year's Jindřich Chalupecký Award 2025 – namely Dominik Adamec, Karolína Rossí, and Barbora Lungová, a teacher at FFA BUT! Barbora Lungová focuses on painting and explores how power, patriarchy, and gender stereotypes are portrayed through it. In her work, she combines insights from film studies with visual experiments. Recently, she has also been addressing environmental themes and so-called critical gardening. Among her main projects is Rainbow Garden – a space that connects queer culture and biodiversity. According to the jury, her work is engaged, bold, and powerful, yet it also reflects resistance and vulnerability. Her connection to community, feminist issues, and social relations brings topicality, authenticity, and depth to her art. The joint exhibition will take place from September 25, 2025, at the Veletržní Palace of the National Gallery in Prague.
