The book published by the Faculty of Fine Arts awarded in the Most Beautiful Czech Books 2023 competition
In the technological center of Prague's UMPRUM, the awards for the best book design were announced on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The Most Beautiful Czech Books of the Year award has been organized since 1965 by the National Literary Memorial in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.In the Most Beautiful Czech Book 2023 competition, the publication FaVU 30 (published by the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology) won 3rd place! The publication, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Fine Arts, offers a reflection on the impact of this educational institution through the interpreted voices of its graduates. The graphic design of the book was also created by FFA graduates, Kristýna Krejčová and Kristýna Žáčková. The book Rafani received the Graphic Design Union Award. This publication involved FFA educators Luděk Rathouský (a member of Rafani) and Jozef Ondrík, who is the author of the book's graphic design. Several other people associated with FFA were also among the awardees, including Tereza Hejmová, Adéla Svobodová, Petr Cabalka, and Filip Nerad. Congratulations!
