Original Abstract

Text je sučasťou zborníka z konferencie "Estetika centra a periférie. Centrum a periféria estetiky.", ktorá sa uskutočnila 23.-25. oktobra 2019 v Bratislave. Východiskom textu i (stále trvajúceho) výskumu, ktorý mu predchádzal, je imaginácia výchovnej inštitúcie ako laboratória, v ktorom sa akcelerujú (hyperbolizujú) alebo naopak spomaľujú (redukujú) viaceré univerzálnejšie deje prebiehajúce v súčasných podmienkach eko a bio-sfér. Ide o pokus oprostiť sa od naturalizovania existencie inštitúcie a predstaviť si ju v jej materiálnej i symbolickej rovine ako estetický čin. Inklinujeme k chápaniu estetiky idúcej ďalej za svoj konvenčný význam ako kritického štúdia umeleckej praxe. Naše tézy sa opierajú najmä o filozofiu Jacquesa Rancièra, s ktorou interpretujeme výchovnú inštitúciu ako miesto (bio)politiky, a tým i estetiky. Oscilovaním medzi nimi sa pokúšame odhaliť miesta ich vzájomného dopĺňania, prelínania či dokonca suplovania.

English abstract

The basis of both the text and the (still ongoing) research that has preceded it is the imagination of a residential educational facility as a laboratory, in which several more universal events taking place in current eco- and bio-sphere’s conditions accelerate (hyperbolises) or slow down (reduces). It is an attempt to move away from the naturalization of the institution's existence and to imagine it in both its material and symbolic level as an aesthetic act. I tend to perceive aesthetics going beyond its conventional meaning as a critical study of artistic practice. My theses are based mainly on the philosophy of Jacques Rancière. By means of his understanding of the relation between aesthetics and politics I am trying to interpret the special educational facilities as places of (bio)politics and thus of aesthetics. By oscillating between them my interest is to reveal places of their mutual complementarity, overlappings or even substitution.
