Original Abstract

Text se soustředí na počátky výtvarné tvorby Jana Ambrůze a společenský kontext 80. let, jímž je umělcův vstup na výtvarnou scénu rámován. Sleduje formování autorova minimalistického názoru a první experimenty v land artových intervencích v krajině a poté zejména v práci se sklem, která pak provází celou dosavadní tvůrčí kariéru umělce. V příspěvku se autorka pokouší definovat principy jeho práce, chronologickou posloupnost v jejich rozvíjení i konkrétní realizace, výstavy a projekty se zřetelem k jejich interpretaci v uměleckohistorických souřadnicích mezinárodního světa umění.

English abstract

The text focuses on the beginnings of Jan Ambrůz's artistic work and the social context of the 1980s, which framed the artist's entry onto the art scene. It traces the formation of the artist's minimalist outlook and his first experiments in land art interventions in the landscape and then, in particular, in his work with glass, which then accompanied the artist's entire creative career to date. In this paper, the author attempts to define the principles of his work, the chronological sequence in their development and specific realisations, exhibitions and projects with regard to their interpretation in the art historical coordinates of the international art world.
