Students develop their experiences from practical subjects and interconnect them with the knowledge gained from theoretic areas and technology. They are assigned tasks which they perform with respect to their individual talent and disposition.

Course curriculum

Main studio theme:
Vertical /Horizontal. Chaos and order.
Technological aspects:
- within the course of Paper and Book - Technology II: bookbinding according to Bradel and its modifications.
The realisations of this type of bookbinding partly exceed into the area of studio work, therefore they are related to the partial studio seminar of creation of bookbinder´s covering papers (marbling etc.).

Aims

Graduates of the Studio of Graphic Design II are capable of critical thinking and can assess the range of their professional skills. The four-year-long programme aims at developing individual skills of each student. We emphasize the understanding of the role of design and problem analysis. During their studies, students acquire and improve a range of technical skills. We also stress interdisciplinary cooperation in order to prepare students the same principles on the job market.
