The course deals with the reflection and creation of the moving images – with and without the help of the computer. We will focus on the basics of composing of temporalized image.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course will offer an overview of the prehistory and history of optical deviced. Students will get familiar in working with production and post-production software, including the works of art of living artists.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Requirements for the exam: students have to attend tutorials where they discuss their own project and they will finally defend their project by way of an oral exam

The prehistory and history of optical devices, fillm, analogue and digital video.

Aims

The first semester of the course is devoted to the thematic information regarding the possibilities of ways of working with the moving image, including those which preceeded digital technologies.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures are optional. Students can arrange the realization of their own project during the course.
