Studio I - Environment - winter

Within the course students learn to search for their own artistic attitudes in response to contextual assignments which in this semester they formulate themselves for themselves mutually and this in a in a limited format of A4 zin. Students learn to critically discuss their own work in a broader context. They get acquainted with the theory of contextual art. The course provides them information about events in contemporary art and culture in the Czech Republic and abroad.

The studio work is continuously complemented with tutorials within the department or with external experts, with lectures, and field trips to exhibitions, and institutions in relation to the discussed problems.
Study of literature and texts related to site-specific and conceptual art is also an integral part of the program.
