Entering the Art World
FaVU-ENARAcad. year: 2020/2021
To be able to succeed in today’s art world, one needs to develop and master not only her creative skills, but also basic skills related to presentation of one’s own practice. This course will focus on selected situations and formats in which authors present their own work, seek financial support, grants, or residencies. These involve formats such an artistic statement, or an informative description of artwork/project, either as part of one’s portfolio or within oral presentation (artist talk). Next to lectures and workshops under the tuition of core faculty staff, the course will also include talks and presentations of visiting artists, curators, residency program managers and other professionals from the field.
