Doctoral colloquium 1

The colloquium constitutes a format of presentations where all students of the first and second year of the doctoral program introduce their research results and methods of working on their dissertation. The student must deliver the lecture materials electronically (PowerPoint or PDF) two days prior to the presentation to the doctoral studies officer. Upon the delivery, the document becomes a part of the student's study doumentation. The public presentation is commenced by short introduction of the student by her mentor, after which the presentation itself starts. The student introduces the issues of the dissertation and the present state of their solution - that is, with the hitherto results of the given field of the dissertation. The presentation should not be longer than 15 minutes; more space is given to discussion afterwards.
