Studio Follow-up I - Intermedia - summer

The subject focuses on individual long-term student projects and the realization of artistic research that will result in a master's thesis. Students are expected to be able to work independently and continuously on the chosen Master's project. The organization of one trip/lecture/activity for the entire studio based on the theme of the master's project is required.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
To be awarded credit, it is necessary to work on a master's project, which is continuously consulted (individually and in groups) during the semester. The development of the work is documented using work-in-progress, sketches or research. Mandatory number of continuous consultations: 3. 80% participation in studio meetings is mandatory. Successful organization of one trip/lecture/activity for the entire studio based on the theme of the master's project.
Participation in studio meetings and activities, semester presentations of ongoing project implementation, communication with studio leaders.
Aims
Independent work on the development of a master's project in a studio environment. Critical reflection of one's own work and the ability to verbalize one's own concepts. Orientation in current topics in the context of contemporary art and non-art fields.
In the summer semester of the first year of the master's degree, students will learn to independently develop the questions of the master's project on a theoretical and practical level. On a professional level, he critically reflects on his own work and gains pedagogical experience from consultations with bachelor's degree students and from organizing activities for the studio.

1. Students consult the process of implementing the master's project
2. Joint work/discussion on a chosen semester topic (the topic is chosen as a group at the beginning of the semester) and participation in consultations with bachelor degree students
3. Final exam – defense offinal work
Independent work in the studio is complemented by lectures, visits to exhibitions and other collective activities developing the group semester theme. An integral part is the study of literature and texts related to the topics addressed.
