Course detail
FFA Crits 4
FaVU-1KSPVF-4Acad. year: 2024/2025
Within the framework of this course, students may consult with any teachers at FaVU, except for the heads of the studios where they are studying, on condition of mutual consent. The course thus encourages students to seek feedback from other faculty members in addition to regular consultations of their semester work in the studio. A fresh perspective coming from a different disciplinary background or unencumbered by long-term collaboration can represent a significant impulse, which can pull the student out of a possible dead end, move them towards new and unambiguous solutions or, on the contrary, confirm the meaningfulness of continuing with the existing method of work. Regular confrontation with teachers from other studios, cabinets or departments of theory and history of art can thus prevent the danger of getting stuck in proven methods or trends preferred in the student’s home studio.
