Dissertation topic discussion

Dissertation discussion (or discussion) is submitted in two printed copies AND a PDF format the length of which is 20–30 normal pages (min. 6000 words) in Czech, Slovak, or English. The discussion includes primarily a critically evaluated state of knowledge in the given dissertaion topic, the definition of the assumed objectives of the dissertation, the characteristics of the chosen reserach methods and the summary of the results the doctoral student has hitherto accomplished. Relevant information about the proposed body of artworks (their form, concept) or about the proposed exhibition, curatorial project or other similar activities which will constitute the creative practice part of the dissertation form a part of the submitted discussion.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Non-letter grade. The studetn fills in the Doctoral State Exam Application Form, prints it (double-side), signs, and submits it at the studies department alongside with the mandatory attachments by the date stated in the study schedule for the corresponding academic year at the latest. By signing the form as well, the mentor testifies that the discussion meets all formal criteria and that the student has met all her requirements as they are entered in the information system.
