FaVU-1TTaP2Acad. year: 2024/2025
The course is a continuation of Typography and Type Design 1 from the winter semester. For current design practice, the use of author's typeface is subject to the purchase of a software license. Students are introduced to the international context, selection of appropriate book typographic typefaces, typesetting and page darkness settings. Examples of typographic treatment of stock materials and what to avoid are shown. At the end of the seminar we will look at the future of type and its medium as such in the context of motion design in 3d or virtual reality.
