Life Drawing 4

Experiments in painting and drawing techniques. Conscious manipulation of grey scale tones or colour manipulation of drawing. Transitions from positive to negative. All this with a starting point in posing nudes. Models pose in less expressive perspective shorthand and expressive shorthand.

Passing at least two of the Life Drawing 1 – 3 courses.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Examination subject to the award of credit. For the award of credit, the condition of active participation in class (3 permitted unexcused absences) is set. The student will submit an adequate number of drawings produced in the evening drawing class for the assessment.
Classes take place in the drawing room of the Cabinet of Traditional Media of the FaVU BUT in the hours determined by the timetable. Participation in the classes is required at least 80%.
Aims
The aim of the course is to enable students to gain sovereignty in mastering proportion, anatomy, etc., and thus to open up space for the entry of "expression" - a subjective but extraordinary moment through which the work can be viewed.
Students confidently manage the study drawing with expressive overlaps. Conscious manipulation of proportions to enhance expressive effect.
