Position opening at FFA BUT: Assistant at the Department of Traditional Media; app. deadline 8 Sep 2024
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) is offering an academic position with a workload of 0.8–1.0 FTE (depending on the agreement regarding teaching load and further involvement in department activities) for an Assistant at the Department of Traditional Media, starting as per agreement (September 2024).
Job Description
- Teaching courses "Basics of Graphic Techniques 1–4" and "Advanced Graphic Techniques 1–4" (lithography, relief printing, intaglio printing, etching) in Czech bachelor's and master's study programmes Fine Arts and Design.
- Participating in the organizational management of the graphic workshops and other activities of the Department of Traditional Media.
- Participating in the artistic-research activities of the faculty; contributing to the concept and direction of the Department of Traditional Media.
Requirements
- Higher education degree (at least a Master's degree).
- Fluency in spoken English and Czech.
- Own research, and/or artistic and/or publishing and/or curatorial activity.
- Teaching skills and experience in a university environment.
- Moral integrity.
