Positions opening at FFA BUT: Academic Staff Positions in the Product Design Studio, app. deadline 31 March 2025
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) is offering academic positions (at the levels of Assistant, or Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, or Professor)* in the Product Design Studio, with an expected start date in September 2025. Within the studio, up to 2 full-time positions (2.0 FTE) are available, and their distribution (extent of employment and roles as studio leader and assistant(s)) can be arranged individually based on the volume of teaching and further involvement in the studio's activities. Both individuals and teams can apply.
Job Description
- Cooperation in the pedagogical leadership of the studio and ensuring its operation,
- Providing feedback to students, including supervising and reviewing bachelor's and master's theses,
- Monitoring developments in the field of art and design education and integrating innovative techniques into teaching practice,
- Participating in the conception and direction of the studio within the Design study programme,
- Participation in the artistic and research activities of the faculty.
Requirements
- A university degree (minimum of a master's degree),
- Proficiency in English at a communicative level,
- Organisational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team,
- Pedagogical skills and experience in the field of art and/or design.
