Position opening at FFA BUT: Assistant at the Department of Audiovisual Technology; app. deadline 17 May 2024
The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology (FFA BUT) is offering an academic position on a part-time basis (0.3–0.5 FTE: depending on the agreement regarding teaching load and further involvement in department activities) for an Assistant at the Department of Audiovisual Technology, starting as per agreement.
Job Description
- Teaching 3 courses in creative programming (Python) in Czech bachelor's and master's study programs in Fine Arts and Design.
- Teaching the course "Network – Art – Software" in Czech master's programs in Fine Arts and Design.
- Participating in the organizational support of the courses "A/V Technology Workshop 1, 2, and 3" and other educational activities of the Department of Audiovisual Technology.
- Providing feedback to students, including supervision and opposition of bachelor’s and master’s theses.
- Participating in the artistic-research activity of the faculty; contributing to the concept and direction of the Department of Audiovisual Technology.
Requirements
- Higher education degree (at least a Master's degree).
- Fluent in spoken English and Czech (the teaching language is Czech).
- Own research, and/or artistic and/or publishing and/or curatorial activity.
- Teaching skills and experience in a university environment.
- Moral integrity.
