Position opening at FFA BUT: Lecturer at the Spatial Design Studio; app. deadline 1 Dec 2023

The Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology is offering an academic position on a full-time basis (1.0 FTE) in the capacities of Assistant, Assistant Professor, Assoc. Professor, or Professor at the Spatial Design Studio, starting on February 1, 2024 (negotiable).

Job Description:

  • Collaborating in the pedagogical leadership of the Spatial Design Studio and ensuring its smooth operation.
  • Offering constructive feedback on students' work, including supervision and evaluating bachelor's and master's theses.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in artistic education and integrating innovative techniques into teaching practice.
  • Participating in the artistic and research activities of the faculty.

Requirements:

  • Higher-education degree (Master's degree).
  • Fluent in both Czech/Slovak and English.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Teaching skills in the field of art.

The application must include:

  • Cover letter stating the motivation for applying.
  • Pedagogical concept of (co-)leadership of the studio.
  • Scan of diploma or other document confirming that the applicant received a higher-education degree.
