Open Day at the Faculty of Fine Arts BUT, Wednesday, 1 Nov 2023, 13:00–18:00

Dear applicants,

We are pleased to inform you that the Open Day at the Faculty of Fine Arts BUT will take place on Wednesday, 1st November 2023. Representatives of the faculty management, study department, and especially tutors from all 17 studios, offices, and workshops will be ready to answer your questions. Please note that the deadline for electronic application submission is by 13th December 2023. You can find more information about the application and the undergraduate admission process here. Want to experience the atmosphere in the studios during their operation, meet and chat with tutors and students, and attend studio meetings? Tutors in the studios will answer your questions, and you can also tour the workshops, lecture halls, sound studio, video studio, editing suites, library, computer lab, drawing room, and other facilities the faculty offers.

  • individual visits to various studios with the option to consult your own works; access to the library, facilities of the offices and workshops

  • guided tour of the faculty buildings and their facilities (Q&A), meet in the courtyard in front of building U2

  • opportunity to consult the particulars of the electronic application and its submission process at the study department

  • opening of the exhibition in the FFA Gallery


How to reach us

The faculty campus is located in the very centre of a quiet part of Brno, just past the Údolní–Úvoz crossroads. From the main railway station, you can easily reach us by tram no. 4 (direction Kraví hora or Hvězdárna), get off at Úvoz stop, and you're there. From other parts of Brno, you can reach FaVU, for example, by trolleybus no. 25 and 26 (connections can be found at MHD Brno). Parking is available on the premises.
